Design Studio 1

Design studio which is the subject to let us design something. But for me in this subject, I not just design it, this subject also let me learn how to understand the space and client or myself. The most important thing I learn is the thinking part, not just think in one way and try to see the thing from different angle.

Representing me

This is the first project in design studio 1. During this reoject we need to understand urself and use something to present it, but the thing we present must be in abstract form which is quiet difficult for me. I use the word 'pretence' to represent me, then after that I twist a bit the mask to made a sculpture. At the first is quiet difficult for me because I lack of the think part but after this project It made me know how to think.

Life capsule

During this project, we had to form a group first. In my group we have Ooi Kai Yang, Patricia Kong, Prashob Nair, Nur Azalia and Ooi Chien Sheng. After that we had to choose a client. At first we choose Patricia as uour client but due to some issue we changed to Azalia. For this project we need to make a life capsule for our client which can let him or her to stay inside for 24 hour. Then the design of the life capsule must have a connection with the client and we also need to design the interior according the need of client and what she want. The material we can use the cardboard and we need to make scale 1:1 model. Well I can say is challenging because I never made a scale 1:1 model before but after this project I learn that the arrangement of the work and the measurement of the model is the most important part. For our model we had made a life capsule that can sleep inside with the hammock we made and can look through the hole for stargazing.

Final Project: Hide Out

For this assignment we need to de a hide out for the client we choose. But first we need to make a site building. The site building must made according the movie we chooose. The movie we choose is hunger game and the concept we use for the site building is the Brutalism arcghitecture. First we need to do the screenshot and choose the concept we want to make. After done the site building we had to choose the client from the list and the client that I choose is Muhammad Ali. The reason that I choose him is because he had some connection with the movie . For example is special, in hunger game you be the special and if the supplier like you then you got the chance to survive and onr of the reason Muhammad Ali he famous is hhis figthing style is special and dangerous. Then after done for choosing client, we need to study the client like what he is and what he need all the thing. During this assignment I learn that how to analyis and understanding a person and the most important is the thinking. This assignment also include the design communicaton final assignment and what we need to do is draw out all the plan, elevation, axonometric drawing and understanding the space.
