Contextual Architecture Study
Identify a building in Asia and investigate through observation and readings on contemporary Contextual Architecture practices and issues in Asia.
Based on the selected building, we were required to conduct literature review on its vernacular architecture reference attributes such as culture, construction, structure, layout also for contextual architecture element.
Case study and research paper
This project are use the same building which I choose PJ Trade Centre to identify the topic/ issues/significance of study and then define specific scope of study.By doing the selected building, we were required to generate research title that reflects the research intention and also to talk about the venarcular and contextual architecture element that building apply.
Through out this project, I'm able to differentiate the vernacular and contextual architecture in Asia. With the case study research, I know that the importance of sustainability of building and the benefits of vernacular architecture. This project help me gained alot of knowledge about the vernacular and contextual architecture that will help in my future design. On the other hand, I also learn more about the Malay Vernacular Architecture.Last but not least, I'm able to know how to do a research paper.
As a conclusion I learnt a lot of knowledges and skills that will lead me to a better place in future which I had apply the knowledge to my studio design.
