Architectural Design Studio 5
The design studio has been a core subject to to us, we not only need to learnt how to design a building by understanding the site also need to know the knowledge about the construction part. During this design studio 5 we need to learnt and apply the theory of urbannism to the project as we more focus on urban design in this module.
Project 1 :Site Analysis
During this project we need to analyse te site which is petaling street. It can say is a study of the site that prepare for the project 2 which is design a community library. The petaling street is a site that full of context so we need to do the site analysis, 5 element based on Kelcin Lynch theory.
We have make the 16 A3 to present the information that we found and analyse of the site also have made 2 model which the scale 1:200 of both Site A and Site B.
Project 2 : Community Library
In this project we have to make a community library that serve the community at the site, to serve their need. Through this project I had know that community is not just an public library only, from my perspactive, it contain the the need, the living style, the type of community and through all this information to design a library to it in the site.
As my library, the outdoor courtyard is to connect the bond of the community as there is no sosial interaction. The concept is to let the ommunity have a place to rest while at the same time can have the view to see what is happening outside, to see the street view. Also to become a sicial node of the site that can get people attraction.
